Queen Elizabeth National Park

 

Overview:

 

Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of Uganda's foremost tourist destinations and most popular national park. Set in the backdrop of the Rwenzori mountains, this varied landscape contains a wide variety of animals including Chimps, 4 of the big 5 and over 600 bird species! Also contained within the parks boundaries are numerous crater lakes, Kyambura Gorge, the Kazinga Channel with its banks lined with Hippos, Buffalo and Elephants, and the Ishasha plains to the south where the famous Tree Climbing Lions reside.
