Adventure Tours in Uganda

Uganda is the adventure capital of East Africa. Whether you are looking to get off the beaten track and visit the not so touristy parts of Africa or looking for those adrenaline rushes, Uganda offers plenty of both.

White Water at Jinja

For any adrenaline junkie visiting East Africa, Jinja is always the first stop. Known as the source of the River Nile, Jinja is located where the mighty Nile leaves Lake Victoria before making its way to the Mediterranean Sea. There are numerous adventurous activities available in Jinja, from some of the best grade 5 white water rafting in the world to horse riding, from bungee jumping to quad biking and many, many more. Jinja makes a great and fun filled end to any safari as it only 1 hour 30 min from Entebbe International Airport.

Rwenzori Mountains

If it is adventure that you are looking for then look no further than the Rwenzori Mountains, Africa’s highest mountain range. The Rwenzori’s offers those more adventurous travellers the chance to trek through the magnificent snow-capped mountain located on the Equator, often referred to as the fabled ‘Mountains of the moon’. Much less visited than Mt Kilimanjaro or Mt Kenya, the Rwenzori’s give you that real feeling of exploration and discovery. Located neatly between Kibale and Queen Elizabeth National Park, a visit to the Rwenzori’s can add a different dimension to your safari. One to Twelve day treks of varying difficulty are available provided by the Rwenzori Trekking Services, get in touch for more info.

After your Gorilla Tracking why not try climbing one of the famous Virunga Volcanoes. There are three volcanoes you can climb in Uganda, Mt Muhabura, Mt Sabinyo and Mt Gahinga each with something different to offer. Get in touch for more info.
