Semuliki National Park
Outliving the last Ice Age, the forests of Semuliki National Park are one of Africa's most ancient and bio-diverse. Famed for its birds and its hot springs, Semuliki offers a sample of Central Africa without having to leave Uganda.
Just north of Kibale Forest National park and fort Portal, Semuliki is around 6 hours’ drive form Kampala/Entebbe.
In or near the park itself there are only luxury options for you stay. For budget and mid-range options you can stay in the nearby town of Fort-Portal around 2 hours’ drive away. If you are OK with travelling the distance, then Fort-Portal can also be the base for your chimp tracking in Kibale.
